The only other Navy contingent besides the SEAL's that is infantry combat qualified are the Navy's Construction Battalions (SeaBees). SeaBees used to attend the U.S. Marine Infantry Combat school as a regular part of their training; however, they've since incorporated their own Expeditionary Combat Skills training course (4 weeks) at the SeaBees base in Gulfport, Mississippi or Port Hueneme, California.
In the U.S. Navy, besides Navy SEALs, there are multiple ratings (jobs) that involve infantry combat. Some of these include Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC), explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians, and Naval Special Warfare (NSW) combat medics. These roles involve specialized training and skills in combat operations on land and in water.
with the exceptions of a few jobs (infantry... etc.) and not in direct combat operations... yes.
No, women are not allowed in any jobs that fall under the "combat arms" category. That basically means any Military occupation that involves being a part of a combat team/unit. The SEALs are trained to, and work as, an elite combat group
Women can do all jobs in the Australian army that aren't combat roles. This excludes the royal infantry corps, the royal armoured corps and the royal engineering corps. This means jobs such as rifleman, combat engineer and battle tank crewman women cannot do. All other jobs and corps are available
Some of the infantry combat trained jobs in the US Navy that don't typically require security clearance include Gunner's Mate (GM), Boatswain's Mate (BM), and Hull Maintenance Technician (HT). These jobs focus on weapon systems, small arms, shipboard operations, and maintenance tasks. However, it's important to note that security clearance requirements can vary based on specific assignments and roles within these job specialties.
The women can do all the jobs in the Army but they are limited in the infantry and cannot in armor. There are even women Generals now. ___ This depends upon the country you are talking about. Many countries allow women an active combat role.
Yes they do and they do almost all jobs that males do. EG field medics
1. There is no such thing as a Navy infantry. 2. As a green hard holder you are not restricted from any job in the military what restricts you is ASVAB score and for certain jobs your ability to get clearence.
yes
None...Only the Millitary .
Most law enforcement jobs are not based on heavy combat. If you want combat, join the military and become a military police officer.
none. besides being a caddy
not very often. I did 2 tours to iraq and 1 to afghan in the Marine Corps infantry as enlisted. officers have a choice as to whether or not they want to go out on a mission. sometimes they might have to go out for a key leader engagement, or a meeting at a FOB (small base) with other Marines. to tell you the truth unless you are in the infantry you will probably never experience combat, im not trying to talk bad about non infantry jobs, but with the rotations and the combat situations TODAY, its not likely. in the early years of iraq and afghan most people deployed would see combat, but thats not how it is today as everything is slowing down. even if you get in the infantry, not all grunt units deploy to afghan anymore. a lot of them go on floats aboard ships to ports and train. if you make it as a Marine officer just remember that you are the new guy, a boot. your senior LCPL, and NCOs have already been there. listen to what they say bc they know what theyre talking about. dont ever think that your dick is bigger than theirs, its not.
