A poodle requires regular brushing and they should be groomed every 6-8 weeks depending on how quick the fur grows. Your poodle should have his/her ears plucked every 2-4 weeks depending on how quickly the hair grows and the ears should be cleaned once a week. A poodle requires it's nails to be trimmed every 4 weeks.
Most groomers will pluck the ears and trim the nails as well as styling their coat. Personally I would recommend the puppy trim if you go to a groomer as it keeps the coat short and the face trimmed and the dog does not look bald. Always fluff the legs up as it looks cute.
As with all dogs you need to walk the poodle regularly and have him checked by a vet whenever you suspect illness etc.
