The objective of such education is to enable people to be better consumers and to understand what makes the consumer economy, in which they are active participants, function. Consumer education is also an investment in the future of the economy, because educated consumers will make good consumption decisions, which will lead the economy to grow and improve in years to come.
Though consumer legislation is there in many countries. consumer rights are very strong and can protect consumers. However only a consumer who is aware of consumer legislation and consumer protection, aware of business malpractices and aware of product and service standards and certifications can utilize them. so it is important that consumers get educated of consumer protection.
