Generally very low but certain things can increase the risk of this happening -
Incorrect tyre pressures - too low and tyre can heat up excessively & objects can work their way into the tyre, too high and the tyre cannot absorb shocks as it is designed to and tyre is under increased stress all the time.
Excessively worn tyres - if a tyre is excessively worn it wil be easier for a foreign object to work its way into the tyre and as the tread gets thinner so the tyre gets weaker.
Objects embedded in the tyre - if glass, nails or metal get into the tread, they will work their way deeper - remove any debris you see in your tyre.

Lift the rear of the motorcycle, use a tire iron to loosen and remove lug nuts, and remove old tire. Now, put in the new tire, replace the lug nuts and tighten, lower the motorcycle to the ground.
