The advantage of r.a 9344 simply that the children has the exemption. In the instance that aged 15 and below has exempted in criminal act knowing the fact that he didn't know what was he doing. Aged from 15 and above is under from a court who take charge from criminal suit that the child has the knowledge from what he's doing.

It keeps young people from being put in jail for long periods of time with adult criminals. The negative part is that it encourages criminal gangs to recruit young people, knowing that instead of going to jail, the kids that work for them and commit crimes will be released to a social worker instead of going to jail. This Act applies to children in the Philippines.
