1. It can end in favor of the plaintiff.
2. It can end in favor of the defendant.
or
3. It can end with favor not for the plaintiff and not for the defendant.
4. One or both parties could be kicked out of the courtroom, and the case dismissed.
The outcome varies. A law may be overturned as unconstitutional, or may be held constitutional and allowed to stand. There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question.
