To earn money through trade, just remember one thing: buy low, sell high. You want to purchase goods from the ports at their lowest possible price and then sell them at different ports at their highest possible price. This gives you the most profit and seriously speeds up the process. Fortunately, the different ports have pretty stable prices and each port has a specific good that you can buy at a very low price and another good that you can sell at a very high price. Even better, the ports line up in a nice circular pattern. Here's how it works:
Port ------------------ Sell: -------------- Buy:
Bouffant Bay ---------Silk --------------- Medicine
Parrot Port ----------- Medicine --------- Nothing
Golden Harbor -------- Nothing----------- Grain
Pirate Outpost ------- Grain ------------- Spice
Dragon Cove --------- Spice ------------- Silk
So you can start in Bouffant Bay and just keep sailing clockwise in a big circle from port to port. Keep going in this pattern, and soon you'll gain enough doubloons. That's all there really is to it!
Each island has a trading post. Click the trader to open the window.
You can also look at your cargo and status by clicking the small icon at the lower left of the screen. It does not show cargo values because the prices are different at each of the 5 ports.
The prices seem to vary a little bit each time you visit a different island, but the key is to travel in a clockwise direction, buying the cheapest item at one spot, then traveling clockwise and selling it for the highest amount. So buy the most you can of the cheapest item, and travel clockwise to the next closest island to sell it for the most.
You keep trading to get enough money.
keep trading
you have to get doubloons by trading grain silk medicine and spice (go around all of the islands on skullduggery)
You go on the island you want to sell on and go to the trading post
The trading posts, are on each port such as dragon port , the parrot port etc.
To trade and sell on island on skullduggery island you first must be on one of the 5 islands and walk around you should see a post that says " TRADING POST"
On top of the barrels inbetween the first house and the trading post.
Collect the five map pieces (one on each of the trading islands) and join them to see the sixth island, Skullduggery. Once it appears on the map, you can actually go there, but nothing happens there until the end of the game. (see the related question)
you need a lot of dabaloons. You can get them by finding salavage and trading goods
Either Parrot Port or Golden Harbor, usually Parrot Port. Prices constantly change. Parrot Port is the exception to the clockwise trading route because nothing is ever very cheap to buy there.
The shipbuilder (Ship Shape Shipbuilders) is just to the right of the Trading Post.
Go to the hanging ferns. Jump on the 2nd, 3rd, and 1st ferns. Also, do your trading.
