If you're saying that the engine has been repaired with only a crank and bearings... there is no break in period necessary.
The break in procedure allows piston rings to properly seat and to a lesser degree, it allows lifters to seat to the camshaft. If you've replaced none of those items you don't have a break in concern.
Technically, when an engine is running properly, oil pressure is up and nothing is worn, the bearings never actually touch the crankshaft. The pressurized oil holds the bearings away from the crankshaft and they could theoretically last indefinitely provided that you could keep clean oil flowing.
I'd just drive it normally. That's a tough engine and if you only needed to replace the crank and bearings I'd guess it ran out of oil.
The bad news is, if it ran out of oil there is a real possibility that a rod or main journal overheated and "stretched", meaning that it may be slightly out of round. The new crankshaft and bearings could have problems if the rods weren't reconditioned and the block wasn't checked and possibly align bored.

it is very important to follow proper lab safety procedures
No. Your employer can fire you for not following proper procedures, but you are entitled by law to your wages for whatever hours you work. Holding your pay is not proper recourse for failure to follow procedure.
The bearings of a 1984 Mallard travel trailer can be greased by jacking up the trailer and removing the wheel hubs to access the wheel bearings. Pack the bearings with the proper grease and replace the wheel hubs and tires.
the loss of proper bearings, or a state of mental confusion as to time, place, or identity.
This bearing is NOT preloaded by a torque spec.It has a end play specification to guaranty it has enough clearance to operate safely. You Need To Get A Proper Repair Manual With Photos And Procedures For this As you Have A Dangerous Idea On What To Do.
The oil light being on means the engine is not getting enough oil pressure to lubricate the bearings properly. The loud noise MAY mean it has ruined its bearings and could ultimately fail altogether if you keep running the engine. You should really get a trusted mechanic to look at it and make a proper diagnosis.
The procedures in the proper handling of a computer are to protect the rather sensitive system. You should generally be gentle with a computer and do not force any action that the computer fails to respond to.

My 99 sonoma had a knock and it was a wrist pin in the engine, my 99 jimmy fuel injection leaked gas in the engine oil and caused the main bearings to fail because of lack of proper lubrication.
make sure when you replace the pads, you repack the wheel bearings, replace the grease seals, set proper tension on the bearings, and resurface or replace the rotors
Check for proper bearing clearance. It is easy to get the wrong size bearings.
