Hot glue won't really work to hold a bolt in place with any strength.

No Hot Glue Is Better
An engine, some metal, bolts, a "crossaint", a blow torch, spray paint, 400 puonds of this, 400 pounds of that, glue, HOT glue and googly eyes. Nah, I'm jut messin' with ya, but you need metal, an engine, bolts, hot glue, and maybe a blow torch?? (It depends on the amount of material you have.)
There are numerous formulas for hot glue sticks. Hot glue sticks can be formulated to bond glass, wood, plastic, metal, foam, plastic, cardboard and for basic applications check out a general purpose formula.
There is no metal that starts off as glue.
