∙ 9y agoThey are genes that are linked to the Y chromosome. That means they're attached to it. The Y chromosome is the one that makes an animal male instead of female. This means that a Y-linked gene would only show in a male animal (or an animal with a genetic disorder where they have an XXY chromosome group instead of just two chromosomes).
