The pros are that its a smaller group making the decisions and though this can be seen as bad, it also means the actions being taken and the decisions being made are more measured and there's less argument and fights within government, helping to maintain a stronger focus.

The cons, there are several.

1. people dont have a say in who rules their country

2. the people in power appoint the new leaders, which kind of carries on the same way of thinking and really not much room for change or improvement

3. its hereditary so even if the father was a great leader, the son might not necessarily be a great leader as well

4. theres really not one-class in society that gets a chance to rule, and so even if the lower-class have some that are highly able and intelligent enough, they won't get a chance
