What USA gained from Iraq War is far less than what it has lost. Although USA managed to eliminate a hostile regime from the middle eastern country. It also gained a stranglehold on Oil trade and significantly benefited from it. However, USA's rash decision of starting war in Iraq on wrong intelligence hurt its reputation in the region. The country itself has not been able to recover from the affects of war and recent rise of ISIS led by radical Sunni Muslims has only increased US troubles.
