This man was a Father of Confederation. He was one of the few polititains who wanted all the provinces to unite and become one. He had big dreams on the future and helped to make plans for confederation. He also attended all three conferences about confederation with other members. THere were twenty-three members in total.
The first provinces involved were upper Canada (Ontario), lower Canada (quebec), new Brunswick and nova scotia. The rest joined later on.
Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and british Columbia were the first provinces to join confederation.

Quebec joined confederation in 1867- with the other first three provinces.
The ten provinces joined at the start of confederation and Manitoba joined in 1870, Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1905 there were usually treaties signed for this............
