The push-pull theory is when people leave because of a certain thing the country has or is doing and they don't agree/like (Push). Than when something the country is doing or has and they agree/like they move there (pull).
First is poverty, some of these people make less than 1 dollar a day, is complete natural that they want to come here to make some money to support their family.
Other factor that this people find is harassment, today we have the bigest anti-Immigration feeling every where from cable news anchor to spoken radio, these people are blame for EVERYTHING even Tom Tancredo was blaming the failure in Irak to the immigrants.
There are some 'Push Factors' like drought, war, poverty, overcrowding, religious persecution, natural disaterts, protest and fear of loss of wealth. =D
