The rare items are found on walks. Such as fancy vases, promise rings, gold bars (only poodles can find gold bars), different soundtracks, a firemans hat (to unlock dalmations), a jack Russel book (to unlock jack russles), and a really weird alien toy. And more... Hope I helped.
P.S. (If you want better luck finding rare items then put the clover clock on and out the lucky collar on the dog that's taking the walk. If you don't have the collar or clock they are found on walks.)
