India is a highly populated country, saturated with people. Some were very poor, while others were very rich. The poor people would often try to smuggle themselves across the boarder due to lack of food and shelter. There were also many wars in India, due to rivaling cultures and religions, meaning that those less fortune who managed to cross the boarder would often come to places like Canada.
