Now, what will define the softwares required for a new computer will be the needs or wishes of that´s computer user. For instance: a dentist will benefit a lot with a computer in his/hers office with a program (software) that manages clients and x-ray images. It is very hard to say what the basic software should be because if someone says you should have a video editing software but you never record any video, why have it? You like to download music and songs, you will very likely need an e-Mule or Limewire type of software; you want to backup your cellular contacts, you will very much apreciate a kind of Motorola Mobile PhoneTools. List your needs and wishes and then research the software that better aplies for that list.

∙ 10y agoThere are many types of recommended pieces of software one needs for a personal computer. This includes operating system software as a bare minimum. Word processing software and media software may also be useful.
