The mission Santa Barbara is one of the 21 missions founded by Franciscan friars between San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, it sits on a hill above the city of Santa Barbara and has great views of the town and the coast. It is unique among the missions for having two bell towers. Among other interesting things to see while visiting are the grave yard and the fountains and water works.
