in most cases a phone call from a witness stating you have been hunting illegally. they have more rights with regard to this type of crime than for a police officer investigating man vs. man crime.
They don't need a warrant. But if they have reason to belief that there is inleagle fish/game on/in the property they can enter with out concent
The DNR. They are buying up land all over the place...
No a DNR does not but you have a family that is sick and had gotten a DNR for the hospitals to see then the will not DNR the family memeber.
Yes. The DNR are allowed to question anyone and even enter private land to make sure that people are following and abiding by the laws, and will write up tickets for those who do not. Many of them are pretty friendly, but not too many DNR officers will let you off scott-free!
The issue in that case involved a guy who wanted to hunt in the City of Saginaw. (That's right, a City.) The city had a "no discharge" ordinance, banning the discharge of weapons. The court ruled that the local government ordinance COULD be overruled by the DNR. However, the DNR's rules applied only to Townships, not cities. In essence, the DNR simply needed to do its job and fix its own rules. Here's the opinion: http://courts.michigan.gov/supremecourt/Clerk/12-06/130672/130672-Opinion.pdf
It's possible that some states may require it, but not many. Go to the website for your state and enter the official name of your state's DNR agency into the search box. That should bring up all the nformation you need.

There is a mudpuppy but is one word. It is sort of like a salamander. If you want to learn more I would go on the DNR page and search it there.
The website Indiana DNR is the website of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The site offers information about the activities of the DNR, events and educational information.
It is illegal to enter and pass through property that is conspicuously marked against trespassing, either with signs or DNR-compliant paint marks on trees or posts. It is also considered trespassing to enter or cross through private property if told by the owner not to do so, or to stay on private property after being told to leave by the owner. It is worth noting that these laws does not make it a crime for a person to unintentionally and innocently wander into private land that isn't marked at the boundaries in some way. There are several other more obscure types of trespass concerning race track stables, railroads, farm land, and trespassing with voyeuristic intentions. See link, under Subtitle 4.
The average annual salary in Michigan for a DNR officer is $52,000. The average annual salary for a DNR officer in Alaska is $37,000.
The acronym 'WI DNR' stands for 'Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources'. The WI stands for Wisconsin, while the DNR stands for Department of Natural Resources.
