An increase in the natural process of the greenhouse effect, brought about by human activities like burning fossil fuelsand deforestation, whereby greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons and nitrous oxide are being released into the atmosphere at a far greater rate than would occur through natural processes and thus their concentrations are increasing. Also called anthropogenic greenhouse effect or climate change.

The result of the enhanced greenhouse effect (which is what has happened because of the human activity of deforestation (destroying forests) and burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas)), is global warming. The additional greenhouse gases that these activities have caused means the earth is warming, and especially quickly since 1980, and this warming is causing climate change.

The Earth's surface temperature has to be just right. Not too hot. Not too cold. Too hot we burn and die. Too cold we freeze to death. Mars is too cold, Venus is too hot, Earth is just right. Thanks to the ordinary greenhouse effect, which has kept the Earth comfortably warm for millions of years.

The effect of the enhanced greenhouse effect is that the Earth's surface temperature will rise and if it doesn't stop we will all burn to death

The effects of the enhanced greenhouse effect include a temperature rise and a sea level rise.

Storms are predicted to increase in strength and size.

Food production is also predicted to have issues.

A:

The earth will warm up. By doing so the the north and south pole will melt, causing major flooding in the whole world. All coast regions will be flooded and there isn't any way to stop it. The weather will be more extreme. More parts of the world will develop deserts and thereby ban all life in these portions of the world. The temperature will keep rising, and eventually most of us will die by dehydration or exhaustion, or just because they can't take the heat.

The greenhouse effect is the natural way the carbon cycle and the water cycle have worked together for millions of years to keep the earth warm.

The enhanced greenhouse effect is happening now because of all the extra greenhouse gases man has put into the atmosphere in the past 250 years. This extra gas it too much for the carbon cycle to deal with. It cannot move them out of the atmosphere, so the extra greenhouse gas traps more heat and gives us global warming.

A:The way a greenhouse stays warm even in winter is because the sunlight can get in through the glass walls but the heat gets trapped inside.

The greenhouse effect is when the sunlight and heat and UV rays can get in through the atmosphere and pollution and whatnot. however, the heat is trapped inside causing the earth to heat up like a greenhouse.

A:The popular view is that the atmosphere has some sort of layer of carbon dioxide "up there" that reflects heat back down to Earth rather than letting it escape to space. That would be like the glass on a greenhouse trapping warm air in while letting the sunlight through to increase the heat. In a greenhouse the sunlight warms the benches and floor, he warm objects heat the air, the air is trapped by the double layer of insulating glass.

It does not happen that way.

Sunlight comes in and warms the Earth's surface. It warms the gases in the air too, at least some of them with a bond size that gets excited by sunlight. These special gases are greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, water vapour and a few others). They are mixed evenly through all of the atmosphere (not in layer). When the gases are warm they share their heat with all their gas molecule neighbours and heat the atmosphere generally.

The effect is more like wet sand in a microwave. Microwaves do not heat sand. They do heat water. When you microwave wet sand, the water heats up - might even turn to steam. The hot water warms the sand.

A:Basically, the Earth receives energy from the Sun every day, in the form of light. Now, this energy incident on Earth is usually reflected back out into space by the Earth's surface. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere trap this energy, preventing it from going out into space. As a result, there is more energy on Earth, which makes it hotter.

The enhanced greenhouse effect is happening because:

Two hundred years ago we started digging up and burning fossil fuels (for industry, transport and to make electricity). Burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas releases all the carbon dioxide that had been hidden underground for millions of years. We also cut down the great forests of the earth, which can take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, to slow it down.

These two things, burning fossil fuels and deforestation are disrupting the normal greenhouse effect. All that extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is intensifying the natural warming effect. This has now become the enhanced greenhouse effect, caused by man.

(The earth has always had a greenhouse effect. The natural carbon and water cycles supported a greenhouse effect in the atmosphere where just enough of the sun's heat was kept back so that life can go on comfortably.)

An intensified greenhouse effect (or enhanced, or accelerated) is what is happening to the normal greenhouse effect because of the extra greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

The normal greenhouse effect, regulated by the water and carbon cycles, has kept the earth warm enough for life for millions of years.

When we started burning fossil fuels we began adding additional carbon dioxide to the balanced amount of greenhouse gases in the air. We add 29 gigatons (29 billion tons) of carbon dioxide every year from burning coal, oil and natural gas. All this extra gas captures more of the sun's heat and has turned the normal greenhouse effect into an intensified greenhouse effect. This is causing global warming.

Is the enhanced greenhouse effect essential for life on earth?

The greenhouse effect is essential to life on earth. The enhanced greenhouse effect is not. In fact if it is enhanced too quickly it can be harmful to life.

What is a sentence with greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

What is another name for enhanced greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".

Which single gas has the greatest impact globally on the enhanced greenhouse effect?

Carbon dioxide is the gas that is having the greatest impact on the enhanced greenhouse effect.

What do humans do to effect the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect keeps us all warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.

What are 3 results of enhanced greenhouse effect?

BOOBS!

How does the greenhouse effect change your world?

The natural greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

What does the greenhouse effect help do?

The normal greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm enough for life. The enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect, is causing global warming.

Why is photosynthesis the only process that can combat the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect does not have to be combatted, as it usefully keeps the earth warm. But we have to stop the enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect which is causing global warming. The only process that can combat the enhanced greenhouse effect is photosynthesis, trees and plants remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

When did the enhanced greenhouse effect occur?

When we began to seriously burn fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) we released billions of tones of EXTRA carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This changed the natural greenhouse effect to an enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect.

The greenhouse effect can be enhanced by your use of fossil fuels?

true

Is the greenhouse effect affecting your climate?

The greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm enough for life, but the enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect is causing global warming and climate change.
