There are flights to AYQ, Ayers Rock, aka Connellan Airport, in Yulara, the closest airport to the north. Driving, you would have to cross Queensland on either of the main roads, to Camooweal, then west to Tennant Springs, south to Alice Springs, and farther south to Uluru itself, near Yulara, NT.
