In Beothuk society, men were typically hunters and warriors responsible for providing food and protection for the community. Women played a significant role in gathering and preparing food, as well as raising children and maintaining the domestic sphere. Elders held positions of wisdom, leadership, and decision-making within the community, passing down knowledge and traditions to younger generations.
