∙ 12y agoOpium overdose can be fatal. The heart starts pumping slower, confusion and sluggishness ensue and the user may lose consciousness. Body temperature drops and the skin feels cold to the touch. The worst scenario is when the respiratory system comes to a complete halt and the person stops breathing which will result in death or irreversible damage to the brain.
