The signs of guppy breeding is when the males (the more colorful fish) start chasing the female guppies (the duller ones). The female guppies should appear to become fatter, signifying that the fish is pregnant.
You will have to go by the size of their tummies. Once a guppy starts breeding she will always have a gravid spot.
This will depend on what type of fish you purchased. Most fish are egg bearing and unless there is a male to fertilize the eggs, then the female will either re-absorb the eggs, or release unfertilized eggs that will be eaten (such as a goldfish). If you purchased a molly or a guppy for example, those are live bearing fish and it's not uncommon to buy a female that is already pregnant.
If you have a female guppy, and then you see that she has lost size and you have some small fish in with it that you didn't put in there, I can assure you that you would probably be correct if you assume that your Guppy has given birth.
A female guppy is pregnant for about 1-2 months, if you have a pregnant guppy i can tell that she will need to be separated from the other fish in a breeding box, you can buy breeding boxes from most stores for £3.97 ($5.97), because if she is left with other fish they will eat the babies. Some tell tale signs that she is close to delivering the babies is that she will stop eating, hang around away from the other fish and her gravid spot will be almost black. Pleased to help.
usually most mollies have a gravid spot meaning it is a black spt near the anal fin and these are found on colored mollies where on a black molly, you can see it cause the mark is black but if you have an orange molly definetly a gravid spot and when she is ready to birth, she will look like a square where her stomach is. good luck! :)
the gravid spot will be jet black and she will look a bit like a square and the hole wher the babys come out will be grey or more notisable
There are no visual signs at that stage.
uh, what kind of abnormal behavior exactly?
it is heart
the signs are not very different, however when your pregnant the signs are worse.
She will show signs of heat by rolling on the floor and tempting the tom. A pregnant cat will not show any of these signs.
