It won't be called similarities as both as the same. Corona Virus is the actual name for the disease whereas Covid-19 is the scientific name given to it. Basically Covid-19 is an acronym for co-corona, v -virus, id-19(2019)

Coronavirus is a type of virus. One of the types of coronavirus is called SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease called COVID-19. The terms COVID-19 and coronavirus have been used interchangeably during this pandemic even though they have different meanings.

Coronaviruses also cause SARS, MERS, and the common cold.
