There are several different types of blood cells humans.

Perhaps the most important are Red Blood Cells or Erythrocytes that are involved in the transport of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. They are round and flat, usually about 7.5μm in diameter and 2.5μm thick

NB 1mm=1,000μm or 1inch=25,400,000μm

Other blood cell types include various types of Granulocytes and Agranulocyes that are involved in immune response and vary in size from 5μm to 25μm across and platelets which are instrumental in clotting which are 2μm to 4μm across.*
