the 1990 yz250 doesnot have a stator it is a single cylinder 249cc 2stk internal combustion engine. it is a water cooled motor' Obviously the guy that left an answer doesnt know anything about Motorcycles. All dirtbikes have a "stator." The stator is located fix to the case on the left side (on the yz250) and the flywheel spins over it to make electricity to power the coil. But to answer you about the Ohm resistance the best way is to just get a service manual to make sure you ohm out the correct wires in the right combo.

1988-1991 yz250 motors are completely interchangeable. Some parts like the cylinder head use the same casting from 1988-1996. Note: although interchangeable the cylinder ports and cylinder head combustion chamber shape differ form year to year. The optimum setup for a 1990 yz250 is a 1991 cylinder with a 1992 head.
