Emma B. Dearborn was a 20th-century American author known for writing novels in various genres, including romance, mystery, and historical fiction. Some of her popular works include "The Blue Cupboard" and "When Paprika Hit the Fan."
Speedwriting is the name often given to shorthand which uses the ordinary letters of the alphabet rather than symbols, for example Keyscript shorthand.
I don't think you can find a free speedwriting course on the net. I have searched quite a bit, and all I can find are a few sites that list some of the common abbreviations.I am very interested in the trademarked speedwriting invented by Emma Dearborn. I took a course in it (at a community college), and got an 'A'. I wish I had practiced and used what I had learned at subsequent jobs I had. Instead, I forgot most of what I had learned! It's one of those "use it or lose it" skills.the URL of the trademarked speedwriting course (by Emma Dearborn) is included below in the related links.I highly recommend this brand of speedwriting. It uses letters in the alphabet instead of strange-looking squiggles (like Gregg shorthand does)."Speeds of up to 120 words a minute are possible for short periods of time, with speeds of 80 words a minute being regularly attained. It is therefore more useful for someone wanting a simple system to speed up handwritten note taking than for reporting." From --- > http://www.bookrags.com/wiki/SpeedwritingI'm going to look into taking the full online course. The cost of it will definitely factor into my decision making. But the benefit of once again having that knowledge and utilizing it will probably help me get ahead in my job.Check out the website.
