What are the stages of crime?

The General principle says that in every crime there are four successive stages in its commisiion,viz.,

1)Intention to commit a crime;

2)Preparation to commit a crime;

3)Attempt to commit a crime; and

4)The actual commisssion of the offence.

(1) Forming the criminal intent in your mind, and

(2) Committing the criminal act.

Only TWO elements are necessary to form a crime: (1) A criminal act, and (2) done with a criminal intent.
