Step 3. Deeper Analysis, Questioning

Identify the various components of the problem. List them.

Step 4. Generating Solutions

What are the various solutions that you can think of that would fix this problem? Write down all your options.

Step 5. Evaluating Your Solutions

Evaluate your list of various solutions. Put them in ranking order from best to worst. Then write a brief evaluation after each solution.

Step 6. Decision: Choose a Solution

Determine the best solution. Use the evidence from the case, your own powers of reasoning, and sources to substantiate the solution. An unsupported decision does not fly in any business.

Step 7. Expansion

List the steps needed for your solution to be implemented or processed. A course of action has to be laid out, sometimes requiring a time table for implementation.

Step 8. Measurements; Other Alternatives

How will the solution be monitored and its success measured? Will it provide complete satisfaction to the problem? If not, what other alternatives can be used in conjunction to provide that needed level of satisfaction?
