The center of the shower floor where the tile shower drain would normally be positioned ... drain base. After this step the sloped mortar bed should be ... pan liner or membrane in our instructions.
A rubber strip that fits a triangle shower stall is very hard to find, but there are still companies that make them. The best way to make a triangle strip for a safety mat in the shower is to cut one from another square rubber strip. Make sure to cut a hole in it for the drain.
By increasing the tub waste line to 2" instead of the normal 11/2" and by reworking the vent line so it is above the flood level of the fixture and installing a P trap under the shower pan
You can get a back water valve. It is similar to a check vale/ the back water valve goes on your main sewer line out side of home. It is desined to stop black water form coming into your home if main line stops up. Thay do make a device that can be installed into an exsisting drain it lets water through your drain but will not let water back up through you shower drain.
The drain has to be slightly lower than the rest of the floor. If you tile over a cement floor, it will very gently slope down to a central drain, or a drain at the end. Try to visit some that have been done the way you want to help envision this.
To complete a task you will have to make you you have a few things. You will have to have a plan, make a budget and then make sure it is done.
Yes you can - as long as they are logically consistent.
This involves a number of step to make it right when installing shower tiles. The steps includes to remove the shower pan and ceiling as well. The use of a vapor barrier is very important and then put a cement board which works as a drywall. Mark a layout to make it easier to guide you as you work on the top row.
There is a chance that your shower head is at the wrong setting. The shower head usually has a screen on it. That screen can get clogged causing water pressure to not feel as strong. Carefully remove the screen and wipe and rinse any debris in a sink (make sure the sink is plugged so that the shower screen doesn't go down the drain).
No, I don't think it is a very good idea, you should wait a little bit to see if the lightning stops or not. But if your in a complete rush yes take a shower but make it quick. Oh and if your just bored and want to take a shower save it for later:)
if its just a shower and no tub spout then it most likely must be in your shower head and if its a hand held shower head (with a flexible hose attached) it most likely has a bad seal or some other way which allows air to get inside and drain the water out slowly. The same can be for a shower with a tub spout diverter and the shower head has a bad seal thus letting the water drain down the tub spout and it can be a real slow leak to cause the squeaking noise 20 minutes later, my guess of the squeaking noise would come from the air being pushed inside the shower head.
Many people have decided to replace their bathtubs with walk-in showers. This could be because you have the ability to create a walk-in shower any way that you want. You can even install multiple shower heads and seating inside. The process of installing a walk-in shower is easy, but it will take patience and time. These are the steps needed to take in order to build and install a walk-in shower: The first step is to clear out the space by removing the tub/shower. Make sure no debris is left in the space and clean it thoroughly before proceeding to the next step. The second step is to readjust the drain. You can leave the existing drain where it is and run a show pan to the middle of the new shower. This helps because the show pan is attached to the drain. The third step is to form the walls that you are going to use for the shower. The walls should be made from 2x4 lumber. Each wall should have a sheet that is made of mold resistant tile backer board and water covering it. The fourth step is to work on the flooring in the shower. All you have to do is pour in a concrete slab. Let it set and dry before moving on. The fifth step is to turn off the water completely, tap into the water supply, and install the shower heads. Make sure that the shower heads work and that there are no leaks. The sixth step is to make any repairs necessary to the walls and ceiling if they were damaged while you were installing the shower heads. The seventh step is to lay the tiles down on the ceiling, walls, and floor. Stick the tiles to the concrete/lumbar with a thin set mortar. Make sure to use grout to fill in the spaces. After the grout has set for a half an hour, wipe it down with a wet cloth. Finally let the grout continue to set and dry for a full day.
