The best aspect of the Lizardmen army is that they are good at everything! They have flying mounts, monstrous creatures, tough infantry, intense magic and more. A lizardmen force should be able to cope with just about anything an enemy throws at them, however they don't really specialize in any particular aspect (e.g. the wood elves can shoot but can't punch, the orcs and goblins can hack but can't shoot etc...). A lizardmen army should be balanced, with each unit complimenting each other.

AnswerYes! In Warhammer any army can beat any other army. All it takes is some good tactics and a bit of luck.
THE first Warhammer fantasy army that is still used is Lizardmen. they have some of the best magic and their troops are totally pimp.
I consider Lizardmen to be the opposite of elven armies in many respects, borrowing elements of both dwarven and undead armies. Lizardmen have low WS, BS and initiative, extremely powerful characters and cheap troops, much like undead. They also have warriors with high strength and toughness, as such, they are resistant, disciplined and as strong as dwarves. Although not unbreakable, they will almost always stand their ground. Troop variety, however, is one of their weak spots. They tend to be very predictable. In games like Warhammer the armys try to be as balanced as possible so there technically is no best army.
Unknown, there is still a kroxigor called n'kai that has been around since the first wars with chaos. Lizardmen dont die of old age.

There is no set amount of 'men' required to play Warhammer, as it is a points and unit based system. Each character or unit of 'men' (Elves, dragons, Chaos Space Marines, Monsters... the list goes on) is worth a set amount of points. When you play a game or Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Fantasy, you and your opponent will agree on a certain points limit for the battle. You select units for your army, ensuring that the sum total of their points does not exceed the total agreed upon by the waring parties. The force you select also has to include certain elements, and these differ between then Warhammer systems. To play a Warhammer 40,000 game, you have to have a HQ (Commander type character) and two units of troops. For Warhammer Fantasy you must take a Lord, and two units of core.
Points in warhammer 40k are based on how good a person is. An HQ unit is better than the normal people of the army and is therefor more points. you also add points to things to give them better weapons or special powers.
