Astronomy has a number of branches, and it is a subject that is intertwined with astrophysics in a way that makes it pretty much impossible to separate the two. The list is long, and lucky for us, it has already been posted. Use the link to the Wikipedia article on the list of basic astronomy topics and specifically to the branches of astronomy. There are only 2 branches of astronomy. Here are both of them and their definition:

General astrophysics: the study of the physics of the universe, including its physical properties (luminosity, density, temperature, chemical composition) of astronomical objects.

Theoretical astrophysics: seeks to explain and model the physical properties of the universe using the laws of physics and physical sciences.

There are also sub-disciplines of theoretical astrophysics. Here are some of them:

Astrobiology: the advent of evolution of biological systems in the universe.

Physical cosmology: The origin and evolution of the universe as a whole. The study of cosmology is theoretical astrophysics as its largest scale.

Galactic astronomy: The study of the structure and components of our galaxy and of other galaxies.
