The symptoms of athlete's foot vary upon the degree of the athlete's foot. Some may have mild discomfort in their feet while others show no symptoms at all. Some may have dry skin on the soles of their feet. Common symptoms are varying degrees of itching and burning and redness of the feet. The skin may peel and on severe cases there may be cracking, pain and bleeding to the foot as well. The feet may also be scaly as well. Another symptom of athlete's foot is that you can also blister. It is not common but it does happen on certain cases. There may be an odor caused by athlete's foot as well. In some cases the toenails may become infected and thicken, crust and fall off. Symptoms usually start in between the toes and it may appear wet and white. There will be times that it can spread to other areas of your body such as your hand, chest, arms and fingers.
