∙ 14y agoThe basic FreeDOS system will run on an 8088 processor and 512k of RAM. The official install CD will probably require a system that can boot from a CD drive (aka Pentium or higher), although you may be able to launch the install CD on an older computer with a special boot disk. Most of the extra software on the CD requires a 386 or higher.
