The real hardware you will be booting the system on is very likely different from the one that VirtualPC presents to the system. You will need to convert the VHD image into a regular raw disk image (there are various tools for doing this). You can then copy the image to a disk / partition using either a "ghosting" program, or using the simple but powerful dd program found in Linux and Unix systems.
