Check that it has adjusters on the rocker arms, as Lombardini have switched to hydraulic tappets on most of these engines. If yours has adjusters, the manual can be downloaded from their website. Cheers, John Higgie

You lied to the rental agency about driving the rental yourself and it was involved in an accident?

It would depend on the state the accident was in. State laws would determine who is responsible. in California the renter is responsible regardless of fault. Also if you accept the LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) and you violate the contract the LDW/CDW is void. So if an unauthorized driver was driving the car and got into an accident, the renter would still be responsible.

Will there be part 4 of the virtual villagers?

Usually the people from LDW make Virtual Villagers games about a year apart, sometimes longer. I'm guessing that VV4 will come out in 2009 or 2010, if it doesn't come out this year. I'm pretty sure, though, that there WILL be a fourth. Maybe more, too, if we're lucky. - from a fan

Is collision damage waiver the same as under insured motorist protection?

CDW/LDW is a waiver, the rental car companies agrees not to go after the renter for any damages to the rental car (regardless of fault) if you purchase the waiver for a daily fee. As long as the renter does not violate the contract. If someone else is at fault they will then go after that person. It only covers the rental car, nothing else is covered

Is there a deductible on additional liability coverage from rental car companies?

It depends on the car rental company and the type of insurance you sign up for. The LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) typically covers the car for most damage situations without a deductible or in some cases a small deductible (up to $100). Check the fine print or ask the rental agent about deductibles in case of damage.

Who pays for the damages to your vehicle if a rental car is at fault?

It all depends on whether the renter signed up for the car rental company's extra insurance coverage at the beginning of the rental. If LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) or CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance coverage was accepted by the renter, you will likely be dealing with the car rental company's insurance. If the renter declined the extra coverage, then you will deal directly with the renter's personal insurance provider.

Lots of reasons but you hold the power as the renter. Be sure you compare multiple agencies rates, and if possible shop in advance to get the best rate. Never take insurance you do not need. Most personal car insurance policies cover you in a rental Check with your agent if in doubt.
