Google "blastema regeneration in humans" or "epigenetic reprogramming and induced pluripotency" and read up on these articles. There are also developing technologies which allow medical scientists to "grow" new organs entirely from scratch. It's a relatively different study from stem cell research. Of these, I believe will interest you.
