Hydrogen is an element, single atom (H)

Carbon dioxide is a compound of one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms (CO2)

Hydrogen has only one electron in its valance shell but 'wants' to have two so it will often form covalent bonds with another element or compound that also 'wants' to gain an electron. Hydrogen will even bond to another hydrogen atom producing H2 therefore it is called a diatomic element.

Carbon dioxide is a stable compound that will not usually react with other chemicals unless energy is added.

Hydrogen is considered an indirect greenhouse gas.

Carbon dioxide is considered the most prominent greenhouse gas, mostly due to its abundance.

the difference between carbon and carbon dioxide is carbon is just carbon

A difference between hydrogen and carbon dioxide?

carbon dioxide is quite unreactive and used in fire extinguishers. Hydrogen burns readily with oxygen and is used as a rocket fuel.

What is differences between argon and carbon dioxide?

there is alot of differences =_=. can i just give you one difference lol Argon CANNOT react with ANYTHING but Carbon dioxide can react

Why doesn't hydrogen produce carbon dioxide?

How could it? There is no carbon in hydrogen. It order to make carbon dioxide, you must have carbon and oxygen.

What gas is denser carbon dioxide or hydrogen?

Carbon dioxide is denser.

Do oxygen and hydrogen and carbon dioxide weigh the same?

No, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide have very different weights.

What expands the most when heated hydrogen peroxide carbon dioxide or iron?

A gas as carbon dioxide is easily expanded by heating; hydrogen peroxide is decomposed.

Which gases is the lightest between neon and hydrogen and carbon dioxide?

carbon dioxide is heavier than hydrogen because the molar mass of carbon dioxide (CO2) is 44 g/mol while hydrogen (H2) is 2 g/mol.

Which particles are smaller - hydrogen or carbon dioxide?

hydrogen

What are the differences between carbon dioxide and sodium oxide in the physical properties?

Carbon Dioxide is a fairly unreactive gas. Sodium oxide is a very reactive solid.

Does the hydrogen on methane go when it becomes carbon dioxide?

Methane burns in oxygen and gets oxidised. Carbon is oxidised to carbon dioxide, hydrogen to water.

If you burn hydrogen do you get carbon dioxide?

No. Hydrogen does not contain carbon, so no carbon dioxide is released just water and heat. See related link.
