turn engine over till number 1 cylinder is at top dead center(high as it can go) Be sure the exhaust valve on that cyl. just closed. Pull distributor out and aim the rotor at the plug wire going to number 1 cylinder,re install dist. You may want to set it exactly with a timing light or turn the dist. counter clockwise until the engine starts to run rough. Then back the dist. back slightly until the motor runs smooth.
