The marks should be on the timing cover, there should be 4 grooves on the timing cover at the top, 2 on each side, then you align the cam gears with the marks. Make sure the numbers on the gears are in their respective places- 1,2,3,4.
I don't think you can change it. I have a 1999 catera and my transmission fluid has to be changed at the dealer.

The Catera has to be taken to the detailer and hooked up to a Tech II. Under Radio Options there is a place to change from military to standard.

There isn't one there is an accelerator pedal sensor above the gas pedal. I have a 2000 Catera too and it isn't responding to the pedal so I am gonna change the throttle body if I can find one
