i prefer fusion
I would say Synchro monsters. They are new and improve and much way better then most Fusion monster. It really don't matter but I say Fusion monsters are kinda old and too simple in summoning stronger monsters. Synchro monsters in the other hand are like future way of summoning monters and give it that new way. The only thing that make Fusion cards a little ok is the Elemental Heros cards. If you compare them both I know you stick with the Synchro monster.
There really is no top 5, but there is a list of the greatest Synchro Monsters that aren't Forbidden, in terms of effect, and playability, seeing how the best ones are generic. To tell which is better than what all really depends on the Deck.

Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Jurrac Giganoto
Dinosaur/FIRE/Synchro/Effect/7
ATK/ 2100 DEF/ 1800
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Dinosaur-Type monsters
While this card is face-up on the field, all face-up "Jurrac" monsters you control gain 200 ATK for each "Jurrac" monster in your Graveyard.
Jurrac Meteor
Dinosaur/FIRE/Synchro/Effect/10
ATK/ 2800 DEF/ 2000
1 "Jurrac" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner Dinosaur-Type monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned, destroy all cards on the field. Then, you can Special Summon 1 Tuner monster from your Graveyard.
Jurrac Velphito
Dinosaur/FIRE/Synchro/Effect/5
ATK/ ? DEF/ ?
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Dinosaur-Type monsters
This card's ATK and DEF are equal to the total original ATK of the Synchro Material Monsters used for the Synchro Summon of this card. If this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, you can destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation.
I belive it is Majestic Red Dragon with Atk4000/Def3000 plus its awsome effect.
stardust dragon, red archfiend dragon, ancient fairy dragon, turbo warrior, nitro warrior, junk warrior, and colossal fighter!
Both are really strong and allow you to transform weak monsters into stronger ones. But my synchro monster always beat my friends fusion monsters.
In my opinion,a good synchro deck should have a mix of attributes whereas the monsters should be a mix of attack defense.
Synchro Monsters can be summoned from the Extra Deck (formally known as the Fusion Deck) by a Synchro Summon.A Synchro Summon can only be performed with one Tuner Monster and one or more face-up, non-Tuner monsters you control (with XX-Saber Gottoms as the exception, who can be Synchro Summoned with more than one Tuner Monster). You can tell if a monster is a Tuner by looking at the card type and seeing "/Tuner" next to it. For example, you can tell Junk Synchron is a Tuner since its card text shows "[Warrior/Tuner]".In order to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster, the Levels of the monsters used must equal the Level of the Synchro Monster. For example, Gaia Knight - the Force of the Earth is a Level 6 Synchro Monster. That means Junk Synchron, a Level 3 monster, would need a monster(s) whose Level equals 3 to Synchro Summon that Synchro Monster (or any other Level 6 Synchro Monster for that matter). Once you have met the requirements, you can send the monsters from the field to the Graveyard and Synchro Summon the Synchro Monster (this still counts as a Special Summon).Just remember, unlike Gaia Knight - the Force of the Earth, who doesn't have any specific requirements besides a combined Level of 6, some other Synchro Monsters do. Some require specific Types, Attributes, Archetypes or monsters to be used.
You Synchro Summon it with Tuner monsters and Non Tuner monsters that adds up to the level of the Black Rose Dragon. Since BRD is Lv7 you need monsters that would add up to that number.
yes, junk synchron only affects monsters on the field. synchro fusionist activates in the graveyard.
Synchro Summoning is when you summon a white colored monster card(synchro)from your extra deck.To do this, you need to send specific monsters(listed on the card) to the grave yard, or use a card effect. The same rule applies to fusion and xyz monsters
In my opinion,a good synchro deck should have a mix of attributes whereas the monsters should be a mix of attack defense.
Destroyed monsters go to the graveyard, including destroyed Fusion or Synchro monsters.
Synchro Monsters are placed in the Extra Deck along with the Fusion Monsters at the beginning of a Duel.
You may have a total of 15 fusion and synchro monsters in your extra deck(renamed from fusion deck with the addition of synchro monsters)
The 'Dark Synchro' archetype will almost certainly never be brought to the TCG. The main reason is because almost all of the Dark Synchro Monsters from the show, have already been released as regular Synchro Monsters instead. Zeman the Ape King, and Underground Arachnid are two, both regular white-bordered Synchro Monsters.
Yes they are coming out with the naturia beast and naturia leodrake synchro monsters in hidden arsenal 2
Synchro Monsters are the newest type of Monster Card. Their color frame is white and include "/Synchro" next to their Monster Type. They are included in the Extra Deck (formally known as the Fusion Deck) along with the Fusion Monsters (Note that with the release of Synchro Monsters, Konami has placed a limit of 15 cards in an Extra Deck. This means that you can only have a combined total of 15 Fusion and Synchro Monsters in your Extra Deck). You must Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster to place it on the field. To Synchro Summon a monster, you must have one Tuner Monster and one or more non-Tuner Monsters face-up on the field. The combined Levels of the Tuner Monster and the other monsters you wish to use as Synchro Material Monsters must equal the Level of the Synchro Monster. Once these requirements are met, you can send the monsters to the Graveyard to Synchro Summon the appropriate Synchro Monster face-up onto your side of the field (this is treated as a Special Summon as well). It is important to note that the Tuner Monster and the other Synchro Material Monsters must be FACE-UP on the field. Almost always, you cannot use more than one Tuner Monster in the Synchro Summon (except in the case of XX-Saber Gottoms). For more information regarding Synchro Monsters, click the first "Related Link" below. For more help on how to Synchro Summon, click on the second "Related Link" below.
No, Synchro components are not 'tributed', they are just 'sent'. Monsters who can't be tributed can still be used as components for a Synchro Summon, and "Mask of Restrict" does not prevent the summon either.
You can have up to 15 synchro's or fussion monsters total in your extra deck.
Roughly 160
Generally, Synchro Summoning sends cards from the field to the Graveyard. There are some cards that allow you to use monsters in your hand as Synchro Material Monsters instead, such as Eccentric Boy.Eccentric BoyAttribute: WINDType: Spellcaster/Tuner/EffectLevel: 3ATK: 800DEF: 200When using this card as a Synchro Material Monster, the other Synchro Material Monsters is 1 monster in your hand. The Synchro Monster that used this card as a Synchro Material Monster cannot activate its effect, its effect(s) is negated, and is removed from play when removed from the field.
Nope. Same as De-Fusion. You can't get an opponent's monster on your side of the field by activating De-Synchro or De-Fusion.
