granulocytes include :

neutrophils-most numerious of the white blood cells,

basophils- rarest white blood cell of the leukocyte population, they contain histamin containing granules, attracks other white bloods cells to the inflamed site

eosinophils -about the same size of neutrophils and look a old fashion telephone receiver that has 2 lobes, they are lack enzymes that digest bacteria. The lead counter attacks against worms, all roughly spherical in shape. They are larger and live shorter time periods then erythrocytes, they are lobed nuclei and are phagocytes

Agranulocytes include:

Lymphocytes-most 2nd numerous in the blood, nucleus is spherical but may be lightly dented. They play a role in T cells and B cells

Monocytes- abundant pale blue cytoplasm and are U or blue kidney shaped

YOU can remember by the letters of the names:

Never---Neutrophil

Let---Lymphocytes

Monkeys--Monocytes

Eat----Eosinophil

Bananas-- Basophils

What are two main categories of leukocytes?

The two categories are granulocytes and agranulocytes. Granulocytes have visible cytoplasmic granules. Examples of granulocytes include neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. Agranulocytes have no visible cytoplasmic granules. Eamples of agranulocytes include lymphocytes and monocytes.

White blood cells lacking granular cytoplasm?

Leukocytes and Monocytes

What is esinophils?

Eosinophils are one kind of white blood cells. they particularly belong to the granulocyte group. WBCs are grouped into two: granulocyte and agranulocytes. under granulocytes you have basophils, neutrophils and eosinophils. under agranulocytes you have lymphocytes and monocytes.

What do agranulocytes lack?

Agranulocytes lack granules in their cytoplasm , thus hey can be differentiated fro granulocytes .They defend our body .

Are lymphocytes granlocytes?

No, lymphocytes are agranulocytes

Are Eosinophils granulocytes or agranulocytes?

Macrophages.

How can granulocytes be identified from agranulocytes?

Granulocytes can be identified when their cytoplasmic granules are stained with Wright's stain. Agranulocytes do not have cytoplasmic granules so they will not have stained granules.

What are the two categories for white blood cells?

There are five types of white blood cells. There are the lymphocytes (also called B and T cells), monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. Refer to the related links below for an illustration of the different white blood cells.

What is the two main groups of the white blood cells?

Granulocytes - which consist of neutrophils and eosinophils Agranulocytes - which consist of lymphocytes and monocytes

What is the least numerous but largest of all agranulocytes?
