What are the two sensors on the driverside of the engine in 83 Volvo dl?
One is the Head Temp sensor, other is either a knock sensor, or on the throttle body it's the cold start injector
There are 4 sensors on the manifoldcoming out of the engine. The highest two are the Air Fuel sensors. You can see them easily from above the engine. One is behind or in a heat shield. There are two more sensors that are lower. These sensors are the oxygen sensors. When ordering you need to know if the sensors are right hand or left hand, don't forget that is from the drivers seat not the…
Ohh my little one.... After two days of on-line searches and two Volvo manuals I learned that there are no crank sensors referred in the manuals. I bought it as a "Crankshaft Position Sensor'' but it`s referred as "RPM Sensor" It`s position is on TOP of the flywheel next to the engine. Directly UNDER the distributor cap and the camshaft sensor cover. I J077535
Where is the engine block of a 1999 Lexus rx 300 and do I need to take the engine block to replace the knock sensors?
Your engine block is the main part of your engine that holds the crankshaft and pistons internally. Your knock sensors, there are two, are screwed into the top of the engine block in the valley between the cylinder heads. You don't have to remove the engine block, you do have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds to get to them. I changed the sensors in my 99 rx300, long day!
Where is the oxygen sensor located on the 2002 Volvo S60 with 2.4L Turbo and secondly once it is replaced do you have to reprogram?
I have a 2001 Volvo S60 Turbo. My Volvo has two oxygen sensors. Both are in the exhaust system. The first is in the exhast pipe, close to the engine (it looks like a spark plug). The second one is in the catylitic converter. I had mine checked at Autozone (local auto parts store). I am having trouble disconnecting the electrical wire. In any event, if you replace the sensor, the code will have to…
I have a 1992 Saturn SL2 that overheats when idling and I would like to know where the two temperature sensors are located?
There are two temp sensors on this car. Basically the have the same function, just for different parts of the engine. The one you need controls engine component Via the PCM(engine computer). It is located on the right side of the block around the top hose. Look for the two wire harness, for the sensor is sort of hidden. Remember there are two sensors, but i believe you need to upper one. Hope this helps
Depending one size of your engine. You will have 2 to 4 oxygen sensors. I4 has two. First one is in the exhaust pipe just next to the engine. Another one is after the converter. V6 has can have 3 or 4 depending emission requirements type. Two sensors are the next to the cylinder heads one per size. Two more are after pre-cat.
The 2006 thru 2009 Pontiac Torrent O2 sensors are located in various locations, depending upon the engine type. The 3.4L engine has two (2) sensors. One is located just downstream of the catalytic converter (screwed into the side of the exhaust pipe. The second sensor is located on the exhaust manifold on the aft side of the engine. It is screwed into the top of the manifold and VERY hard to get to. The 3.6L…
