The two space shuttle disasters were the Challenger disaster in 1986, when the shuttle broke apart 73 seconds after launch, and the Columbia disaster in 2003, when the shuttle disintegrated upon re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. Both tragedies resulted in the loss of all crew members on board.

The first space shuttle to explode during liftoff was the space shuttle Challengerin 1986. The second shuttle disaster occured on the 1st of Febuary 2003 to space shuttle Columbia. In boh disasters, 7 astronauts lost their lives.

well theres discovery, Atlantis, and endervor are the only ones remaining. two are in hundres of thousands of pieses from disasters which are Columbia and Chalenger. and theres one training shuttle that not many people know about. its called enterprise. (sorry for spelling errors)
