The pancreas consists of two major types of secretory tissues. It is an elongated, somewhat flattened organ posterior to the stomach and behind the parietal peritoneum.
Holocrine glands are a type of secretory gland where the secretory product is formed inside the cytoplasm and the secretion is released by the disruption of the plasma membrane and destruction of the cell. Therefore, holocrine is the answer because it is a secretory gland and cells are lost in the secretion, thus needing continuous reproduction.

The pancreas has several cell types. The pancreas forms these small pouches that are formed by acinar cells, which make the proteins and enzymes in pancreatic fluid. These pouches then lead into intercalated ducts. The first cells here are centroacinar cells, which secrete bicarbonate. The rest of the ducts are lined by duct cells that change the electrolytic composition of pancreatic fluid. The pancreas also contains Islets of Langerhan. Within these islets you can find beta cells(produce insulin), alpha cells(produce glucagon), delta cells(produce somatostatin), epsilon cells(produce ghrelin), and PP cells(produce pancreatic polypeptide). Especially seen in the soles, palms, bums etc. They reduce friction to the body.8. Blood cells: These cells include RBC's, WBC, Thormbocytes etc. They are always motile and never stay in one place. They have limited life span and they never multiply to form new cells. instead new cells are formed from other cells.
