Vedas are the ancient non man made texts available to guide Mankind. Some of the important beliefs are one supreme god & cycle of creation, preservation and destruction of the universe.
Two important Hindu beliefs presented in the Vedas are the concepts of karma, the principle that one's actions have consequences that impact future lives, and dharma, the moral duty and righteousness that each individual must follow in order to maintain balance and order in the universe.
1. Brahman is the supreme and ideal Hindu god and the aim of every Hindu should be to be to surrender to it. Under less than ideal conditions a Hindu has to worship other gods that originate from Brahman. 2. A Hindu can attain Moksha through Karma and become one with Brahman.

The collection of the most sacred Hindu texts, known as Sanskrit, are divided into two categories: the Shruti, aka the Vedas, and the Smritis.
It says that it is runned by many gos and goddesses and it explains how Hindus believe how people were created and what is the proper way to live.
There are few if any similarities. The two religions are about as different as they could be.
Although, there are many holdy books like the Vedas, Upanishads etc, the Srimad Bhagwatam and Bhagwad Gita are worshipped by most people. The reason being that these two books can be easily understood by laymen and also, they contain the essence of the Vedas.
The Upanishads are similar to the Vedas as they are also a collection of spiritual and philosophical texts in Hinduism. Both the Vedas and Upanishads are considered sacred scriptures and are foundational to Hindu religious and philosophical thought.
Vedas are all of the oldest and authoritative Hindu sacred texts and one important belief is reincarnation.Which means a cycle of birth,death, and rebirth. They thought if you had a good life and you died, you would reborn a higher person in the Caste System. The Caste System: a person's place or rank in society.The other belief was the Dharma. The Hindus would know what is right by following the Dharma. Dharma:the law.
These are two different words often said and heard.Mostly scholars of Vedic Philosophy have commented that Vedic Dharma is the Sanatan Dharma but some Hindu scholars donot agree with that because of certain confusions of Different interpretations of Vedas and Vedantis
The two sacred writings of India are Vedas and puranas.
