Good question because a huge amount of energy comes out of the condenser. Unfortunately the heat is at a relatively low temperature so it can't really be used for very much except space heating.

There is not much demand for space heating round a power plant. Obviously the energy is used to keep the workers warm in the buildings of the power plant but that uses only a tiny fraction of the available energy.

Some factories use a system where they have their own power plant to generate the electrical power they need, and the waste heat is piped round the factory to keep the workers warm. This is a very efficient use of the fuel and is called CHP - combined heat and power.

When the present glut of fossil fuels expires there will be more incentive to develop ways of using energy more efficiently.

One way that is often used in such cases is to have the heat convert water to vapor; the resulting pressure is then used to move the generator. - Please note that, according to the Carnot formula, it is NOT possible, not even in theory, to convert ALL the heat energy into electrical energy.

A kitchen blender transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy Why is the amount of mechanical energy produced less than the amount of electrical energy used?

Losses are due to inefficencies of the motor, and friction on moving parts.

How is electrical energy in biomass is stored?

In nature, electrical energy is seldom stored as such. Other types of energy would be stored in biomass - mainly chemical energy - but not a significant amount of electrical energy.

What energy transformations in a tv?

A television receiver uses electrical energy, either from batteries or from the electrical outlet it's plugged into, and converts that energy into a tiny bit of light energy, a moderate amount of sound energy, and a considerable amount of heat energy.

Does a motor convert electrical energy into sound energy?

Yes. But it is a negligible amount comparing to the mechanical energy it produces.

How sound energy is converted into electrical energy in a microphone?

Electrical energy can be generated by forcing a magnet through a coil. The sound waves cause a capsule to vibrate, which moves sighing a coil to produce an electrical signal. This is called electromagnetic induction. There are other methods of converting the sound into electrical signal though, such as; capacitance change (condenser microphone), piezoelectric generation, or light modulation.

When electrical energy is converted into thermal energy what must be true?

The total amount of thermal energy plus chemical energy changes.

What is a measure of the amount of electrical energy transferred by an electric charge as it moves from one point to another in a circuit.?

Electrical energy is measured in the same units as any other type of energy, namely joules. The amount of energy PER UNIT CHARGE is measured in volt.

What are the energy changes in television?

really????? in the case of mains AC power, 1) power is (internally) converted to DC, in order to power the electronics --- still electrical energy. 2) an input signal is decoded and transformed into a/v signals --- still electrical in nature.???
