You have to buy a gm wiring harness and put all the wires together. Teh constant wire that keeps your CD player on has to be ran to your fuse box. Buy about 3 feet of rubber coated wiring and connect to the red wire on the harness. Then you have to connect the other end to the windshield wiper fuse in your car. Put the fuse back on top of it to hold it in and your done. I have a Sony Xplod 52X4 so the types of CD playes may vary

The GM harness's covers only years 95-99 2000 is different. "constant" wire does not go to the fuse box. The switched wire does, don't use the wiper fuse (noise) use the hvac fuse.
