Typically brownish red spots are a sign of flea infestation, if the spots are on top of the skin or on the fur (they are blood residue left there from the parasites feeding--first red, then turning brown when they get wet). Put the cat on Revolution to control its fleas and possibly use Capstar (one dose) to immediately kill off the fleas on him and the rest of them in the environment that decide to feast later on. If the spots are under the skin, not on top of it, then they are possibly subcutaneous hematomas ... bleeding under the skin. Usually this is caused by a bloodclotting disorder or by having eaten a mouse that was poisoned with D-con, in which case your cat could be dying from hemolytic anemia within a few weeks. Please do take him to a vet to have this checked. I am a veterinarian ... D-con poisoning needs to be countered with high dosages of vitamin K1 (phytonadione) 10mg every five hours round the clock capsules given for four to six weeks starting no later than 3 days after the poison ingestion IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAVE HIS LIFE. The capsules can be bought prescriptionfree from VITACOST online for fifteen dollars for 90 capsules plus shipping. Regardless, have him checked by a veterinarian asap in case he has some other bloodclotting or redbloodcell killing disease--if he has haemobartonella (tickbite disease causing death by redbloodcell loss) he also needs to be on doxycyline hyclate 25 mg twice a day for several weeks. Have him diagnosed professionally cause these are serious, lifethreathening symptoms. Best of luck.
It is most likely not to have brown spots but if it does do not eat it.

Yes, cats limbs are called legs. Their hind legs are longer than their forelegs.
All cats.
Age spots are small brown spots found all over the legs and gradually disappear up the leg. Sun exposure and tanning beds can increase the formation of them.
There are 48 dogs legs (12x4) and 3216 cats legs (804x4) so in total there are 3264 legs
